Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day) has been tapped to score the upcoming Child’s Play reboot. The film is directed by Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) and stars Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry and Gabriel Bateman, as well as Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky. The horror thriller is based on the 1988 classic (scored by Joe Renzetti) and follows a single mother who gifts her son a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature. Tyler Burton Smith wrote the screenplay. David Katzenberg (It, The Goldbergs) and Seth Grahame-Smith (The Lego Batman Movie, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) are producing the project.
