Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Good Shepherd, Enough Said, The Door in the Floor) has recently scored the upcoming Netflix original movie Otherhood. The film is directed by Cindy Chupack (I’m Dying Up Here) and stars Angela Bassett, Patricia Arquette, Felicity Huffman, Jake Lacy, Sinqua Walls and Jake Hoffman. The romantic comedy centers on three mothers who leave their suburban life to reconnect with their estranged sons in NYC. Chupack also co-wrote the screenplay with Mark Andrus (As Good As It Gets, Life in a House) based on the novel Whatever Makes You Happy by William Sutcliffe. Cathy Schulman (The Illusionist, Five Feet Apart) and Jason Michael Berman (The Birth of a Nation, Little Evil) are producing the project. Otherhood will premiere later this year on Netflix.
Zarvos has also recently scored the Taraji P. Henson-starring drama The Best of Enemies, which will be released in theaters nationwide this weekend, Roxann Dawson’s Breakthrough which will be opening in theaters on April 17, the HBO documentary What’s My Name – Muhammad Ali, which later this month at the Tribeca Film Festival and the period drama The Chaperone, which just was released in select theaters last weekend. The composer also continues to score Showtime’s Ray Donovan, which will return for its seventh season later this year, and The Affair, which will return for its fifth and final season in 2019.
