Julian Wass has been tapped to score the upcoming docu-series Lorena. The 4-parter is directed by Joshua Rofé (Lost for Life) and re-investigates the story of the notorious case of John and Lorena Bobbitt that made international headlines and helped birth a 24-hour news cycle, exploring vital moral issues and the missed opportunity for a national discussion about domestic violence and sexual assault. Rofé is also executive producing the Amazon Studios production with Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us), Steven J. Berger, Win Rosenfeld (The Feels), Thomas Lesinski (Taboo) and Jenna Santoianni (Mr. Mercedes, Das Boot). Lorena will premiere next year exclusively on Amazon Prime.
As previously reported, Wass (Hit and Run, The Miseducation of Cameron Post, The Overnight, Blue Jay) also has Alex Lehmann’s Paddleton starring Mark Duplass & Ray Romano and new seasons of Room 104 and Insatiable coming up.
