Composer Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant) is reteaming with John Ridley on the upcoming time travel drama Needle in a Timestack. The film is written and directed by Ridley (12 Years a Slave, Guerrilla) and stars Orlando Bloom, Freida Pinto, Leslie Odom Jr., and Cynthia Erivo. The movie is based on a short story by Robert Silverberg and follows a couple struggling to hold their marriage together in a world where time travel is possible, and the past and present are ever fluctuating. Zanne Devine (Easy A), David Thwaites (What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Miss Potter), Aaron L. Gilbert (Tully, A Single Shot) and Matt Kennedy are producing the BRON Studios production. Isham has previously scored all three seasons the Ridley-created ABC drama American Crime and the Ridley-directed documentary Los Angeles 1982-1992. Needle in a Timestack is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2019.
Isham also continues to score Freeform’s Marvel series Cloak & Dagger, which will return for its second season in 2019. He also recently scored the biographical drama Bolden, which is expected to be released in 2019.
