Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the YouTube Red original series Cobra Kai. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Zach Robinson and Leo Birenberg (Son of Zorn, Red Army, Big Time in Hollywood, FL, F*&% the Prom). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 4 and will be available to download on Amazon. La-La Land Records will release a CD version featuring additional tracks later this month. Cobra Kai is developed by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg and stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka,Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Courtney Henggeler and Nichole Brown. The show is set 30 years after the events of the original Karate Kid movie and follows Johnny Lawrence as he seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo, reigniting his rivalry with a now successful Daniel LaRusso. The series premiered this past Wednesday and is now available to stream on YouTube Red.
