The details of the soundtrack album for Andrew Haigh’s drama Lean on Pete have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Edward Barker (Heist, Precious Cargo, Rise of the Footsoldier 3). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 27 by Varese Sarabande and will be available to download on Amazon. Lean on Pete is written and directed by Haigh and stars Charlie Plummer, Steve Buscemi, Chloe Sevigny, Travis Fimmel, Steve Zahn, Amy Seimetz and Thomas Mann. The movie is based on Willy Vlautin’s novel of the same title and follows a fifteen-year-old boy who hooks up with a pair of itinerant horse trainers and develops a powerful bond with a racehorse on its last legs.The drama premiered at last year’s Venice and Toronto Film Festivals and was released in select theaters earlier this month by A24.
