Jan A.P. Kaczmarek has been tapped to score the upcoming historical drama Paul, Apostle of Christ. The film is written and directed by Andrew Hyatt (The Last Light) and stars James Faulkner, Jim Caviezel, Olivier Martinez, Joanne Whalley and John Lynch. The movie tells the story of Paul, going from the most infamous persecutor of Christians to Jesus Christ’s most influential apostle. The drama follows his last days awaiting execution by Emperor Nero in Rome under the watchful eye of Mauritius, Mamertine Prison’s ambitious prefect. David Zelon (Soul Surfer, Into the Blue) and T.J. Berden (Full of Grace) are producing the project. Paul, Apostle of Christ will be released in theaters nationwide on March 28, 2018 by Sony Pictures’ Affirm Films. The Academy Award-winning composer whose previous credits include Finding Neverland, Unfaithful, The Visitor and Get Low has also recently recorded his score for the upcoming fantasy drama Valley of the Gods. The film is written and directed by Lech Majewski (The Mill and the Cross) and stars Josh Hartnett, John Malkovich, Bérénice Marlohe, Keir Dullea, John Rhys-Davies and Charlotte Rampling. The movie centers on the reclusive trillionaire, Wes Tauros, a Navajo legend and a writer, who possesses an unbridled imagination and has the ability to alter reality. Majewski is also producing the project with Royal Road Entertainment’s Filip Jan Rymsza. Valley of the Gods is expected to premiere later this year.
