Jed Kurzel has been hired to score the upcoming Hungarian drama Superfluous Man (Felesleges ember). The film is directed by Kornél Mundruczó (White God) and stars Merab Ninidze, György Cserhalmi, Mónika Balsai and Zsombor Jéger. The movie centers around a young boy who is shot while trying to enter Hungary illegally and gains the power of levitation as a result of it. Mundruczó also co-wrote the screenplay with Kata Wéber (Pleasant Days). Viktória Petrányi (White God, Johanna) is producing the project. Superfluous Man is currently in post-prodcution and is expected at one of the major film festivals this year.
