Lyle Workman is composing the original score for the upcoming comedy Bad Santa 2. The film is directed by Mark Waters and stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy Bates, Christina Hendricks, Tony Cox, Brett Kelly, Ryan Hansen, Jenny Zigrino and Jeff Skowron. The movie follows the title character who teams up once again with his angry little sidekick, Marcus, to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. Johnny Rosenthal & Shauna Cross (If I Stay, Whip It) have written the screenplay. Geyer Kosinski (Fargo, Bad News Bears) and Andrew Gunn (Sky High, Bedtime Stories) are producing the project. David Kitay has composed the music for the 2003 original film. Waters has previously collaborated with composer Rolfe Kent on most of his movies including Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and Just Like Heaven. He also worked together with James Horner on 2008’s The Spiderwick Chronicles. Bad Santa 2 is set to be released nationwide on November 23, 2016 by Broad Green Pictures.
