Rob Simonsen is scoring the French comedy drama Two Is a Family (Demain tout commence). The film is directed by Hugo Gelin (Just Like Brothers) and stars Omar Sy, Clemence Poesy and Antoine Bertrand. The movie follows a man whose carefree life on the French Riviera is turned upside down when a former fling suddenly reappears and introduces him to his baby girl before taking off. Gelin has also written the screenplay with Mathieu Oullion (French Cuisine) and Jean-Andre Yerles (The Gilded Cage). Philippe Rousselet (Source Code, Lord of War, Bastille Day) and Stephane Celerier are producing the Vendome and Mars Films production. Two Is a Family is set to be released on December 7, 2016 in France. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
Simonsen’s upcoming feature projects also include the comedy Bastards starring Owen Wilson & Ed Helms, Marc Webb’s Gifted starring Chris Evans and Zach Braff’s Going in Style. He also scored the teen thriller Nerve, which is currently playing in theaters and the indie drama Miss Stevens, which will be released in select theaters on September 16 by The Orchard.
