Sacred Bones Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Almost Holy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Leopold Ross (The Book of Eli) & Bobby Krlic (Triple 9). The soundtrack will be released on vinyl on August 19, 2016 and will also be available digitally. The label has previously released an EP featuring three tracks from the score. Almost Holy is directed by Steve Hoover and centers on Gennadiy Mokhnenko, a controversial pastor who made a name for himself by forcibly removing homeless drug-addicted kids from the streets of Mariupol, Ukraine and housing them in his own self-styled rehab facility. The documentary premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival and was released in select theaters last month by The Orchard. Visit the official movie website for more information.
