Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans have been hired to score the upcoming indie thriller Rosy. The film is directed by Jessica Manafort and stars Nat Wolff, Sky Ferreira and Stacy Martin. The movie follows a lonely guy who kidnaps a struggling actress named Rosy who proves more difficult for him to handle than ever expected. Jonathan Schwartz (Like Crazy, Smashed, Breathe In) is producing the project. Rosy is expected to premiere later this year.
The composer duo has also recently scored Antonio Campos’ Christine starring Rebecca Hall, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released on October 14 by The Orchard, as well as Joshua Marston’s Complete Unknown starring Rachel Weisz, which also premiered at Sundance and will be released on August 26 by IFC Films before premiering on Amazon. They also scored the thrillers A Kind of Murder starring Patrick Wilson & Jessica Biel and The Ticket starring Dan Stevens, which both premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and are currently looking for domestic distribution. Their upcoming projects also include the horror thriller The Autopsy of Jane Doe starring Emile Hirsch, which was recently picked up by IFC Midnight for a U.S. release.
