Bryan Senti has signed on to score the upcoming drama London Town. The film is directed by Derrick Borte (The Joneses, H8RZ) and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as The Clash frontman Joe Strummer, alongside Daniel Huttlestone, Dougray Scott and Natascha McElhone. The movie is set in 1978 and centers on a teenager who ventures into central London from its bleak outskirts and is introduced to the Clash by his estranged mother. Kirsten Sheridan (August Rush, In America), Sonya Gildea and Matthew Brown (The Man Who Knew Infinity) have written the screenplay. Sofia Sondervan (Cadillac Records) is producing the project for Dutch Tilt Film, with Christine Vachon (Boys Don’t Cry, Far from Heaven, Carol) for Killer Films and Tom Butterfield for Culmination Production. Senti’s previous scoring credits include this year’s Experimenter starring Peter Sarsgaard & Winona Ryder. London Town is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2016.
