WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for Nancy Meyers’ comedy The Intern. The album features the film’s original music composed by Theodore Shapiro (The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Marley & Me). Also included are the songs from the film by artists including Ray Charles, Gene Kelly, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 18, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Intern is written and directed by Meyers (Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday) and stars Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, Rene Russo, Anders Holm, Andrew Rannells, Adam DeVine, Celia Weston, Nat Wolff, Linda Lavin and Zack Pearlman. The movie follows a 70-year-old widower who discovers that retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site.
