Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1995 sci-fi action adventure Judge Dredd directed by Danny Cannon and starring Sylvester Stallone, Diane Lane, Armand Assante and Rob Schneider. The 2-CD set features the film’s original score composed by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger), including more than an hour of previously unreleased music and alternate takes. Also included is the music from the film’s first trailer composed by Jerry Goldsmith. The label also announced a new soundtrack album for the 1985 fantasy adventure Return to Oz directed by Walter Murch and starring Nicol Williamson, Jean Marsh, Piper Laurie and Fairuza Balk. The album features the complete score from the film composed and conducted by David Shire (The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, The Conversation, Zodiac), as well as alternate cues and the content of the original 1985 soundtrack album.
