Clint Mansell is composing the music for the upcoming thriller High-Rise. The film is directed by Ben Wheatley (Sightseers, Kill List, Down Terrace) and stars Tom Hiddleston, Sienna Miller, Jeremy Irons, James Purefoy, Luke Evans, Elisabeth Moss, Reece Shearsmith, Peter Ferdinando and Dan Renton Skinner. The movie is based on J.G. Ballard’s 1975 novel of the same title and follows a young doctor who becomes embroiled in a sinister world in a new residential tower built in 1970s Britain, at the site of what will soon become the world’s financial hub. Amy Jump (Kill List, A Field in England) has written the screenplay. Jeremy Thomas (The Last Emperor, Only Lovers Left Alive, The Dreamers) is producing the project for Recorded Picture Company. High-Rise is expected to premiere later this year.

Will you be featuring this film at the festival later this year?
I’ve read and enjoyed the book and look forward to seeing how it’s adapted and treated on screen.
Great cast too – Hiddleston will make for an interesting Laing, as will Irons as Royale and Evans as Wilder.
Can’t wait to write my review on it
