Music Box Records has announced the world premiere release of the score for the 1989 comedy She-Devil directed by Susan Seidelman and starring Meryl Streep, Roseanne Barr, Ed Begley Jr., Sylvia Miles and Linda Hunt. The film’s music is composed and conducted by Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Departed, The Silence of the Lambs). The album features 42 minutes of the composer’s score. A soundtrack for the comedy was released in 1989, but only featured songs from and inspired by the film. To listen to audio clips from the score and to check out the full album details, visit the label’s official website, where you can also order the limited edition CD.
The label has also announced a new soundtrack album featuring two scores by composer Pierre Jansen for director Francis Girod: the 1978 drama L’État Sauvage and the 1983 film Le Grand Frère. Visit Music Box Records’ online store for more information and to listen to audio clips.
