Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Tim’s Vermeer. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Conrad Pope (My Week with Marilyn, Pavilion of Women). The soundtrack will be released digitally January 28, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. A physical version will be coming out on February 18 and is available to pre-order here. Tim’s Vermeer is directed by Teller of Penn & Teller fame and follows Tim Jenison, a Texas-based inventor, as he attempts to solve the mystery of how 17th century Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer (Girl with a Pearl Earring) managed to paint so photo-realistically, 150 years before the invention of photography. The movie, which made the short list of 15 features to be considered for a nomination in the Best Documentary category for the Academy Awards, is now playing in select theaters.
