Mark Isham has been tapped to score the upcoming ABC series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. The show is a spin-off of the network’s hit drama Once Upon a Time, which Isham has been scoring for the past two years and recently aired its second season finale. Wonderland is written and executive produced by the original show creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (Lost) and follows the adventures of a mature Alice as she goes back down the rabbit hole to battle Red Queens and psychologists to find her true love. The show stars Sophie Lowe as Alice, Michael Socha as Knave of Hearts, Peter Gadiot as Cyrus, Emma Rigby as Queen of Hearts and John Lithgow as the voice of the White Rabbit. Steve Pearlman (V) and Zack Estrin are also executive producing the ABC Studios production. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland is set to premiere this fall and will air on Thursday nights on ABC.
As previously reported, Isham is also scoring Frank Darabont’s TNT series Lost Angels and Gary Fleder’s thriller Homefront starring Jason Statham and James Franco. The composer has also co-scored the drama The Inevitable Defeat of Mister of Pete with Alicia Keys. It has been announced last week that the film was picked up by Lionsgate’s Codeblack Films. No release date has been set yet.
