Chris Benstead has composed the original music for the upcoming thriller Wife and Dog. The film is written and directed by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, Snatch) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, Anthony Hopkins, Paddy Considine, James Norton and Cosmo Jarvis. The movie revolves around a wealthy family and their associates whose relentless greed fuels betrayal and murder in the battle for succession.Ritchie is also producing the project with John Friedberg (Ferrari, Shelter) and Ivan Atkinson (MobLand, The Diamond Heist). Benstead has previously scored Ritchie’s last seven features, The Gentlemen , Wrath of Man, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, The Covenant,The Fountain of Youth & In the Grey. Wife and Dog is scheduled be released in theaters nationwide on February 19, 2027 by Black Bear Pictures.
Benstead also continues to score the Ritchie-produced Netflix series The Gentlemen, which just returned for its second season this month, as well as Prime Video’s Young Sherlock, which has also been renewed for a second season.
