Tyler Strickland has received his first Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary/Nonfiction or Reality Program (Original Dramatic Score) category for his score for Colin Hanks’ Prime Video original documentary John Candy: I Like Me at today’s first night of the 78th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall.
In the Outstanding Music Direction category, Miguel Gandelman was the winner for The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny. The winners of the other music categories will be announced tomorrow.
