Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy Idiots. The album features the film’s original score composed by Brooke Blair & Will Blair (Green Room, Rebel Ridge, The Toxic Avenger, The Informer, Hold the Dark, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Black Christmas, Blue Ruin). Also included is the composers’ (as The Whoopsie Dews) original song A Perfect Heart, as well as tracks by The John Byrne Band, A.M. Mills, The Hogs, Yosemite in Black & others. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 28. The streaming/download link will be added to this page within the next day. Idiots is written and directed by Macon Blair and stars Dave Franco, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Mason Thames, Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Braun and Kiernan Shipka. The movie follows two unqualified bozos who get hired to transfer a rich teen to rehab, but their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem. The comedy premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival (under the title The Shitheads) and is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by the Independent Film Company.
