Composer Stefan Gregory (The RoosterCottontail, Otto by Otto)  is reuniting with director Simon Stone (The Woman in Cabin 10, The Daughter) on the upcoming British biographical drama Elsinore. The film stars Andrew Scott as Ian Charleson, an actor at the height of his powers who courageously pushed through AIDS to play Hamlet at London’s National Theatre and whose performance became his greatest triumph. Olivia Colman, Billie Piper and Johnny Flynn are also starring in the movie. Stephen Beresford (Pride, Tolkien) wrote the screenplay. Scott is also producing the Studiocanal, LD Entertainment, Lucky Red & Magnolia Mae Films production with Andrea Occhipinti (Parallel Tales, The White Ribbon), Gabrielle Tana (Philomena, The Duchess), Pete Shilaimon (Megan Leavey, Anthropoid), Mickey Liddell (Jackie, The Grey), Stefano Massenz and Carolyn Marks Blackwood (The Invisible Woman, The White Crow). Gregory has previously scored Stone’s 2020 feature The Dig. Elsinore will premiere next month at the Telluride Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters on November 20 by Focus Features before expanding nationwide over the following weeks.
