Jonathan Goldsmith (Away from Her, Take This Waltz, Casino Jack, Dreamland, Burn Your Maps, Stories We Tell) is the composer of the new USA Network original series Anna Pigeon. The show is based on the bestselling novels by Nevada Barr and stars Tracy Spiridakos, Ronnie Rowe, Paulina Alexis, Melanie Scrofano, Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz, Tricia Helfer, Kim Coates, Jordan Sledz, Cooper Levy,Ryan Northcott, Crystle Lightning and Nikki Hallow. The crime drama follows a former city slicker who became a park ranger after a devastating loss changed the trajectory of her life forever as she tries to outrun her demons while solving crimes that have taken place within national park grounds. Morwyn Brebner (Coroner, Rookie Blue) serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the Cineflix, December Films & SEVEN24 Films production with Todd Berger & Brett Burlock (Wynnona Earp, Reginald the Vampire),, Sonia Hosko, Julie Di Cresce (The Puzzle Lady), Peter Emerson (Tehran, This Is Have I Love You), Gordon Gilbertson (The Year of the Spectacular Men), Tom Cox (Heartland, Ride) and Jordy Randall (Family Law), as well as actress Lea Thompson who also directed multiple episodes. Anna Pigeon will premiere next Friday, August 7 on the USA Network.
Goldsmith’s other recent projects include Sophia Takal’s feature Act One, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and is currently awaiting a distribution deal.
