Mark Korven (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Black Phone, The First Omen, Cube, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, The Peripheral) is scoring the upcoming Canadian Netflix limited series Below. The show is created by Jesse McKeown (The Umbrella Academy) and stars Josh Hartnett, Mackenzie Davis, Charlie Heaton, Ruby Stokes, Willow Kean, Kaleb Horn, Rohan Campbell, Mary Walsh and Natasha Henstridge. The 6-part horror thriller revolves around a hard-bitten fisherman and his family who fight to protect their close-knit community when a mysterious sea creature terrorizes a small Newfoundland town. McKeown & Hartnett are also executive producing the project with Jessica Rhoades (Station Eleven, Sharp Objects), Chris Hatcher, Jamie Childs (The Sandman, His Dark Materials), Louise Sutton and Sharon Hall (The Expanse, Utopia). Below will premiere on October 8, 2026 on Netflix.
Korven is also expected to return to score the second season of MGM+’s The Institute, which is expected to premiere later this year.
