Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, Love ActuallyRomeo + Juliet, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible HulkRayThe Quiet American) is the new composer of the Channel 4/Peacock original series The Undeclared War. The Grammy Award winner has written the score for the second season of the show written by Colin Teevan (Das Boot, Rebellion) and starring Simon Pegg, Siân Brooke, Hannah Khalique-Brown, Alex Jennings, Danny Sapani, Ed Stoppard and Chloe Pirrie. The 6-part thriller directed by Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin, Wicker Park) is set immediately after the end of the first season as the team in the Malware Department at GCHQ come to terms with a massive Russian cyber-attack and realize that Russia were not the real architects of the attack. Teevan & McGuigan are also executive producing the Playground, Stonehenge Films & Universal Global Television production with original series creators Colin Callender (The MissingThe White Princess) & Peter Kosminsky (White Oleander, The State), as well as Daniel Gratton and Noëlette Buckley (Wolf Hall) .Armstrong has previously collaborated with McGuigan on the 2015 feature Victor Frankenstein. Debbie Wiseman has scored 2022’s first season. Season 2 of The Undeclared War is premiering in the UK tonight on Channel 4 and will make its domestic debut on August 27 on Peacock.
