Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the Mexican/Argentine horror thriller History of the Occult (Historia de lo Oculto). The album features the film’s original music composed by Marcelo Cataldo (Figures, The Kirlian Frequency). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to audio samples below. History of the Occult is written and directed by Cristian Ponce and stars Nadia Lozano, Hector Ostrofsky, Agustin Recondo, Hermán Baudino, Casper Uncal and Iván Esquerré. The movie is set during the fictional news program 60 Minutes to Midnight, when the show’s final guest exposes a conspiracy that the government is aligned with a dangerous supernatural coven.The thriller, which premiered at the 2020 MOTELX (Lisbon International Horror Film Festival), was released in Latin America and Spain the following year on Netflix before making its domestic debut in 2022 on Screambox. The film is now also available to stream on Prime Video, Cineverse, Fandor and other streaming services.
