Composer Jared Michael Fry (Safehouse) is reuniting with writer/director David Ayer (The Suicide Squad, Training Day) on the upcoming adventure thriller Heart of the Beast. The film is directed by Ayer and stars Brad Pitt, J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. The movie follows a Special Forces officer and his combat dog who find themselves stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness after a harrowing plane crash sand are forced into a brutal fight for survival against the elements. Cameron Alexander wrote the screenplay. Ayer & Pitt are also producing the Domain Entertainment & Gulfstream Pictures production with Olivia Hamilton (Babylon) and Marty Bowen (The Maze Runner, Smile). Fry has previously collaborated with Ayer on the director’s last two features, The Beekeeper and A Working Man. Heart of the Beast will be released in theaters nationwide on September 25, 2026 by Paramount Pictures.
