Capitol Records has released a soundtrack album for the musical comedy K-Pops!. The album features seventeen songs from and inspired by the film, including tracks by Anderson .Paak who also directed the movie, as well as aespa, G-DRAGON, JID, DEAN, NMIXX, and members of SEVENTEEN, ATEEZ, and i-dle. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. A CD version will be coming out on August 21 and is available for pre-order here. A limited vinyl edition is also being released. Listen to several tracks after the jump. K-Pops! is co-written and directed by Anderson .Paak and stars the singer/songwriter himself, Soul Rasheed, Jonnie “Dumbfoundead” Park, Jee Young Han, Kevin Woo and Yvette Nicole Brown. The movie follows a washed-up American musician who discovers his estranged son is a rising K-Pop star and – hoping to reconnect – heads to Seoul and is swept into the cutthroat world of Korean pop. The comedy, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, was released in theaters this past February by Aura Entertainment and is now available on VOD.
