Torin Borrowdale (Locke & Key, Searching, Pulse, Run, Five Days at Memorial, Spring, The Toll) is returning to score the upcoming Disney Channel original movie Descendants: Wicked Wonderland. The film is directed by Kimmy Gatewood (Good on Paper) and stars Kylie Cantrall, Malia Baker, Leonardo Nam, Paolo Montalban, Melanie Paxson, Rita Ora, Brandy, Liamani Segura, Brendon Tremblay, Kiara Romero, Alexandro Byrd, Joel Oulette, Ryan McEwen, Zavien Garrett and Dayton Paradis, as well as Awkwafina as the voice of Chessy the Cat. The fantasy musical follows Red and Chloe who must work with Red’s new sister and Luisa Madrigal’s son to save her and Wonderland when new villain Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts. Tamara Chestna (Sneakerella, After), Dan Frey and Ru Sommer wrote the screenplay. Gatewood is also executive producing the project with Suzanne Todd (Alice in Wonderland, Austin Powers) and Gary Marsh (Calendar Girl). Borrowdale has previously scored 2024’s Descendants: The Rise of the Red, while David Lawrence has composed the score for the first three installments in the Descendants series. Descendants: Wicked Wonderland will premiere on July 16, 2026 on the Disney Channel and the following day, July 17 on Disney+.
