Milan Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for the French biographical drama De Gaulle: Tilting Iron (La Bataille de Gaulle – L’âge de fer). Available to stream/download on all major digital music services is Vive de Gaulle written by the film’s composer Volker Bertelmann (Conclave, All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Dune: Prophecy, Adrift, The Day of the Jackal, A House of Dynamite, The Amateur, One Life). De Gaulle: Tilting Iron is directed by Antonin Baudry and stars Simon Abkarian (as legendary French army officer Charles de Gaulle), Simon Russell Beale, Florian Lesieur,Loïc Corbery, Mathieu Kassovitz, Benoît Magimel, Niels Schneider, Anamaria Vartolomei, Félix Kysyl. The movie is premiering today at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and will be released in French theaters on June 3. The second part of the 2-part film (entitled De Gaulle: The Sovereign Edge) is set to open in French theaters on July 3, 2026.
