Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave, Adrift, Lion, Dune: Prophecy, The Day of the Jackal, The Amateur,A House of Dynamite, One Life) has recently been scoring the upcoming psychological thriller Verity. The film is directed by Michael Showalter (The Big Sick, The Idea of You) and stars Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett. The movie is based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel of the same title and revolves around a ghostwriter who uncovers disturbing truths about the family she’s living with. Nick Antosca (The Act, Candy) wrote the screenplay. He is also producing the project with Showalter, Hathaway, Hoover, Alex Hedlund (Chucky, A Friend of the Family), Jordana Mollick (The Dropout, The Lovebirds) and Stacey Sher (Django Unchained, Erin Brockovich). Verity will be released in theaters nationwide on October 2, 2026 by Amazon MGM Studios.
