Department Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC drama Waiting for the Out. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Sion Trefor (Say Nothing, Toxic Town, How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, Death Valley). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track after the jump. Waiting for the Out is created by Dennis Kelly based on Andy West’s memoir The Life Inside and stars Josh Finan, Gerard Kearns, Stephen Wight, Phil Daniels, Samantha Spiro, Alex Ferns, Francis Lovehall and Josef Altin. The series revolves around a philosopher who begins teaching a class of men in prison and – through his work – begins to dig deeper into his own past. The drama premiered in the UK this past January on BBC One and is now also available to stream on the BBCiPlayer.
