This week, Rebekka Karijord (I Am Greta, All the Old Knives, Raptures, Songs of Earth, Explorer, Pray, Obey, Kill) has recorded her score for the upcoming biographical adventure drama Tenzing. The film is directed by Jennifer Peedom (Sherpa, River) and stars Genden Phuntsok, Tom Hiddleston, Willem Dafoe, Caitríona Balfe and Thinley Lhamo. The movie tells the true story of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and his summit of Mount Everest in 1953 alongside fellow outsider New Zealander Edmund Hillary. Luke Davies (Lion, News of the World) wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Liz Watts (Animal Kingdom, The King), Emile Sherman & Iain Canning (The King’s Speech, The Power of the Dog) for See-Saw Films, alongside Peedom and Desray Armstrong (Juniper, Bad Behaviour). Tenzing will premiere on Apple TV. No release date has been announced yet.
