Caldera Records has announced the premiere release of the unused score from the 1979 legal drama Kramer vs. Kramer written and directed by Robert Benton and starring Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep and Jane Alexander. The CD features music written for the Academy Award-winning film by David Shire (The Conversation, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, Return to Oz, All the President’s Men, Zodiac, Short Circuit). Also included is the composer’s Emmy Award-nominated score from the 1978 television movie The Defection of Simas Kudirka written by Bruce Feldman, directed by David Lowell Rich and starring Alan Arkin, as well as twenty minutes of his music from the 1982 comedy drama The World According to Garp directed by George Roy Hill and starring Robin Williams.
