Netflix announced today that Finneas O’Connell is scoring the second season of the Netflix original (anthology) series Beef. The show is created by Lee Sung Jin and stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny and Seoyeon Jang. The 8-parter follows a young couple who witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner. Lee Sung Jin, Mulligan, Isaac, Melton & Spaeny are also executive producing the production with Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts) and Season 1 stars Steven Yeun & Ali Wong. Bobby Krlic (The Haxan Cloak) has composed the score for 2023’s first season. O’Connell has previously scored the features Vengeance & The Fallout and made his television scoring debut on Apple TV’s Disclaimer. He also co-wrote the Academy Award-winning title song from No Time to Die and What Was I Made For? from Barbie. Season 2 of Beef will premiere on April 16, 2026 on Netflix.
