Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the Starz original series Outlander. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s eighth and final season composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day, God of War). Also included is the new version of the opening titles theme The Skye Boat Song performed by Alice Lennox (check out the title sequence after the jump). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 6. The label has previously released the Season 6 & Season 7 albums, while Madison Gate Records has released the soundtracks for the first five seasons. Outlander is developed by Ronald D. Moore and stars CaitrĂona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, John Bell, Richard Rankin, David Berry, Charles Vandervaart and Izzy Meikle-Small. The eighth and final season of the fantasy drama will premiere tomorrow on Starz.
