Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alex G (aka Alex Giannascoli) has composed the original score for Jane Schoenbrun’s upcoming horror feature Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. He has also collaborated with The Blue Nile’s Paul Buchanan on an original song (Pain Is the Heart of Love), which is featured in the first teaser trailer (embedded below). The film is written and directed by Schoenbrun and stars Hannah Einbinder, Gillian Anderson, Amanda Fix, Eva Victor, Arthur Conti, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, Dylan Baker, Patrick Fischler, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Kevin McDonald, Quintessa Swindell and Jack Haven. The movie follows an enthusiastic young director who inherits the Camp Miasma slasher franchise for resurrection, but when she visits the original movie’s star, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and deliriumh. The project is produced by Plan B Entertainment. Alex G has previously scored Schoenbrun’s first two features, We’re All Going To The World’s Fair and I Saw The TV Glow. Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma will be released in U.S. theaters on August 7, 2026 by MUBI.
