Element Pictures has announced that composer Stephen Rennicks (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, The Quiet Girl, Alice & Jack, Rosie, Rebellion) is set to reteam with Lenny Abrahamson on the director’s next, currently untitled, feature. The film is written and directed by Abrahamson and will star Tom Burke, Eve Hewson and Shane Meagher. No plot details have been revealed yet for the movie, which is set in Dublin’s Jewish community in the late 1970s. Abrahamson is also producing the project with Ed Guiney (The Favourite, The Lobster), Andrew Lowe (Poor Things, Bugonia) and Catherine Magee (Small Things Like These). Rennicks has previously collaborated with the director on the features What Richard Did, Frank, Room & The Little Stranger and the TV shows Normal People & Conversations with Friends.The untitled film has just started production in Dublin, Ireland and will be distributed in the U.S. by A24.
Rennicks’ other recent projects include Kirk Jones’ I Swear, which opened in UK theaters last year and has been picked up by Sony Pictures Classics for a domestic release this year, as well as Nanouk Leopold’s Whitetail, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
