Milan Records will release a new soundtrack album for the French/Japanese Apple TV original series Drops of God. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Ian Arber (The Capture, Medici, Red Eye, My Name Is LennyThe One, The Chelsea Detective, War of the Worlds). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 6. Listen to the composer’s “title” track (It Belongs to God) after the jump. The label has previously released an album featuring Kenma Shindo’s score from Season 1 back in 2023. Drops of God is developed by Quoc Dang Tran inspired by the Japanese manga series created by Tadashi Agi and stars Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita. The new season of the Legendary Entertainment production, which follows Camille & Issei as they are thrust into their most perilous challenge yet: to uncover the origin of the world’s greatest wine, premiered last month with new episodes dropping every Wednesday on Apple TV.

Apple TV+’s Drops of God S2 original soundtrack arrives February 6. Scored by acclaimed composer Ian Arber, the music emerges as one of the show’s most quietly powerful storytelling tools. Built on restraint, reverence, and emotional precision, Ian’s score deepens the show’s exploration of legacy and rivalry.

Premiering exclusively today, “It Belongs to God,” the soundtrack’s title track, serves as the emotional thesis of Season 2. It’s a haunting, slow-burn composition that captures the show’s central tension between inheritance, obsession, faith, and the cost of devotion. The piece unfolds with quiet reverence, allowing melody and restraint to carry the weight of the legacy that defines the series.

It Belongs to God is about surrender, to history, to fate, to something larger than yourself,” Ian explains. “The music needed to feel almost sacred, but never overstated. It had to breathe.”

Throughout the Season 2 soundtrack, Arber weaves piano, strings, and ambient elements into a sonic language that reflects the show’s global scope while remaining emotionally grounded. The result is a score that deepens the drama, inviting viewers to sit with silence, tension, and reverence in equal measure.

Based on the acclaimed manga and adapted into a hit Apple TV+ drama, Drops of God continues to explore the high-stakes world of rare wine through deeply personal rivalries and generational reckonings. Arber’s score for Season 2 leans into that intimacy, favoring subtle motifs and atmospheric textures that mirror the characters’ internal battles as much as their outward conflicts.

The Drops of God Season 2 Original Soundtrack will be available on all major streaming platforms on February 6, with “It Belongs to God” featured as the album’s central and defining track.
