Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, Blade, The Accountant, 42, Nell, Godfather of Harlem, The Black Dahlia) has provided the original score for the new Netflix original documentary Miracle: The Boys of ’80. The film is directed by Max Gershberg (Court of Gold) & Jake Rogal (The Last Dance) and tells the story of the “Miracle on Ice,” when the 1980 U.S. Hockey Team beat the USSR in the Olympic semi-finals at the height of the Cold War to bring home a gold medal. The movie features never-before-seen 16mm footage and firsthand reflections from the players who were brought back to the scene of their historic victory. The project is produced by the Olympic Channel, Words + Pictures and Select Films. Isham has previously scored Gavin O’Connor’s 2004 narrative feature about the U.S. hockey team’s iconic upset. Miracle: The Boys of ’80 will premiere tomorrow, January 30 exclusively on Netflix.
