Mike Newport (Home Kills, Mega Time Squad, Andover, Shooting Heroin, Generational Sins) will release a soundtrack album for the Sky Zealand original comedy Small Town Scandal. The album features selections of the composer’s original music from the show and will be released digitally tomorrow, December 17. Small Town Scandal is created by Tom Sainsbury based on his hit iHeartRadio NZ true-crime parody podcast of the same name and stars Sainsbury himself, Felicity Kendal, Rose Matafeo, Morgana O’Reilly and Alexander England. The series follows a disgraced journalist turned podcast host who returns to his rural hometown to investigate the bizarre death of his millionaire uncle who was suspiciously killed by an automatic lawnmower. The comedy will premiere in New Zealand on February 9, 2026 on NEON and Sky Comedy.
