Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Fear Street Part 3: 1666Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Werewolves WithinTime CutSting) has been tapped to score the upcoming horror feature Forbidden Fruits. The film is directed by Meredith Alloway and stars Lili Reinhart, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, Lola Tung, Emma Chamberlain and Gabrielle Union. The movie revolves around a young woman leads a secret witch cult at a mall store, when a new hire starts to question their sisterhood, forcing them to confront inner darkness or meet violent ends. Alloway also co-wrote the screenplay with Lily Houghton (based on her own stage play). Mason Novick (500 Days of Summer, Tully), Diablo Cody (Juno, Jennifer’s Body), Trent Hubbard and Mary Anne Waterhouse (The Invisibles) are producing the project. Forbidden Fruits will be released in theaters in early 2026 by the Independent Film Company & Shudder.

Drubich’s other recent feature projects include Shannon Triplett’s Desert Road, which premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and is currently awaiting release date.
