Dickon Hinchliffe (The Lost Daughter, Winter’s Bone, Leave No Trace, Out of the Furnace, Locke,Last Chance Harvey, Daddio) is the composer of the new BBC drama Prisoner 951. The show is created by Stephen Butchard (This City Is Ours, The Last Kingdom) based on the book A Yard of Sky written by Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe & Richard Ratcliffe and stars Narges Rashidi and Joseph Fiennes. The 4-part drama directed by Philippa Lowthorpe (H Is for Hawk, Swallows and Amazons tells the true story of Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian citizen who was imprisoned and held hostage by the Iranian state for six years, and her husband Richard who campaigned for justice and her return. Butchard & Lowthorpe are also executive producing the Dancing Ledge production with Hinchliffe has previously collaborated with Laurence Bowen & Chris Carey (The Salisbury Poisonings, The Responder). Lowthorpe on the 2020 feature Misbehavior and final part (Winter) of HBO/Sky’s The Last Day. Prisoner 951 is premiering in the UK tonight on BBC One and will also be available to stream on the BBCiPlayer.
