‘Hamnet’ Soundtrack Album Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for Chloé Zhao’s drama Hamnet have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Max Richter (The LeftoversAd AstraMary Queen of ScotsHostiles, Waltz with BashirTabooSpaceman). Also included is the composer’s piece On the Nature of Daylight, which he incorporated into his score. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on November 21 by Decca Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Also listen to a first track (Of the Sky) below. Click here to check out the project’s music team credits. Hamnet is co-written and directed by Zhao and stars Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Emily Watson and Joe Alwyn. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Maggie O’Farrell and tells the story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, through the eyes of his thoughtful wife Agnes. The drama will be released in select theaters on November 27 by Focus Features before expanding nationwide on December 12.
