La-La Land Records has announced a reissue of the premiere soundtrack album for the 1985 mystery comedy Clue written and directed by Jonathan Lynn and starring Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Martin Mull, Michael McKean and Lesley Ann Warren. The CD features the film’s original music composed and conducted by John Morris (Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, Dirty Dancing, Young Frankenstein, The Elephant Man, The Producers, The In-Laws, Life Stinks). The 40th Anniversary Edition, which is limited to 1,000 copies, features new art design and a new note from Lynn and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and find out more about the soundtrack. La-La Land’s world premiere soundtrack album was released back in 2011. Clue is now available on VOD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
The label has also announced a reissue of the expanded soundtrack album for the 1990 horror thriller Jacob’s Ladder directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Tim Robbins, Elizabeth Peña and Danny Aiello. The 2-CD set, features the film’s score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Ghost, Gorillas in the Mist, Witness). The 35th Anniversary Edition, which is limited to 1,000 copies, features new liner notes and new art design and is available to order here. Quartet Records has previously released an expanded edition back in 2020, while Varese Sarabande has released the original 1990 soundtrack album. Jacob’s Ladder is being released in a new 4K Ultra HD Steelbook this month and is also available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
