Guillaume Roussel (Black Beauty, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan & Milady, 3 Days to Kill, Marie Antoinette, The Spy, Happy!) has provided the original score for the upcoming French Netflix limited series Néro the Assassin. The show is created by Jean-Patrick Benes & Allan Mauduit (Kaboul Kitchen, Ares) and Martin Douaire (OVNI(s)) and stars Pio Marmaï, Louis-Do de Lencquesaing, Olivier Gourmet, Alice Isaaz, Camille Razat, Yann Gael, Lili-Rose Carlier Taboury, David Talbot, Max Baissette de Malglaive and Noam Morgensztern. The period drama is set in France, 1504 and follows a ruthless assassin who goes on the run with his estranged daughter in a quest to protect her from deadly enemies and evil forces. Antoine Rein (The President’s Wife, Family Swap) is producing the project for Karé Production. Néro the Assassin will premiere on October 8 exclusively on Netflix.
Roussel’s other recent projects include Cédric Jimenez’s Dog 51 (Chien 51), which just premiered last week at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in French theaters on October 15.
