Sony Music has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese psychological horror thriller Exit 8. The album features the film’s original music composed by songwriter/music producer/DJ Yasutaka Nakata and Shohei Amimori . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other music services. A CD version is set to be released in Japan next month. Exit 8 is co-written and directed by Genki Kawamura and stars Kazunari Ninomiya, Yamato Kochi, Naru Asanuma, Nana Komatsu and Kotone Hanase. The movie is based on on Kotake Create’s cult game of the same title and follows a man trapped in a endless sterile subway passageway as he sets out to find Exit 8. The thriller, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, just opened in Japanese theaters last month and will be released in the U.S. in 2026 by Neon.
