Jesse Novak (The Mindy Project, The Baby-Sitters Club, Blockbuster) is the composer of the new Netflix original animated series Long Story Short. He has written the main title music and scored all episodes of the show created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg (Undone) and featuring the voices of Ben Feldman, Angelique Cabral, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Nicole Byer, Lisa Edelstein and Paul Reiser. The adult animated comedy follows the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises.. Bob-Waksberg is serves as the showrunner and is also executive producing the project with Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen for Tornante Television. ShadowMachine is the animation studio. Novak has previously collaborated with Bob-Waksberg on Netflix’s BoJack Horseman and Tuca & Bertie. Long Story Short will premiere this Friday, August 22 exclusively on Netflix.
Novak is also expected to return to score the third season of Fox’s Grimsburg.
