Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC documentary series Human. Human is hosted by Ella Al-Shamahi who reveals the human race’s story across 300,000 years of evolution and how we went from being just one of many types of human to the dominant form of life on the planet. The 5-parter produced by BBC Studios Science Unit in association with NOVA & GBH examines how Homo sapiens began to build civilizations and cities, accelerating our species’ advancement by recording and sharing the sum of human knowledge through a transformational technology: writing. The series premiered last month and currently airs every Monday on BBC Two (and is also available to stream on the BBCiPlayer) and will make its domestic debut on September 17 on PBS.
